SGAAlbF01 Kalina

Of all my gliders this little girl came to me with the absolute BEST personality of all! The very first night I had her, she had just come off a long flight and I'm sure she was miserable and frightened. I put her little pouch in the cage and assumed she'd probably hide all night and need a little while to settle into her new home. Well this precious darling wasn't at all worried about the long trip or jet lag! As I was putting her little bowls of different foods into the cage for the night she popped out of her pouch like a little jack in the box and hopped right down to say hello. She really surprised me by jumping right up onto my hand as I stuck it into the cage. I've never had a glider so eager to get out and meet a stranger before!! She's got the most amazing personality! We have bonded so easily it's been dreamlike!
Her name, Kalina (pronounced kah-LEE-nah), is an Australian aboriginal name that means "to love". And I do love her dearly! Thank you again Sheila for this precious angel!! Kalina (formerly Kiwi) was bred by Sheila Wilson of To and Fro Gliders and came home to live with me in Nov of 2007.
